Is Chivalry really dead? This is a question I found myself asking this weekend?
If it is dead who killed it? Is it because women are too strong minded these days? 
I had a conversation with my best friend’s mother. She and, I were discussing Love, and relationships. She is in a new, yet old relationship. She ended up bumping into her childhood love, the dude she truly loved as a youngling, before the kids and the husband, before she lost her sense of self. She said that chivalry for the most part is dead, and that’s why it’s detrimental to a healthy relationship for the man to love the woman more. He should naturally want to treat you like a queen which includes holding doors, pulling chairs etc. Which led me to the next thought… we’ll where does “CHIVALRY” derive? 
The Code of Chivalry is often taken to be a matter of opinion, but most would agree that the following virtues all have a place in the virtues a knight should have. How many of you know Knights? lmao… So we place all these Knightly codes for our men to follow and if they don’t follow them, than they don’t love us? 
The problem is, Society as a whole doesn’t expose or teach the meaning of love, moreover love is portrayed as a series of dramatic events that eventually lead to sex, and heartache. Hell, we’ve made a mockery of love, with the flava of love, for the love of ray, rock of love and the list goes on. So what is the real definition of love? Do you know?
If you had it, could you recognize it? I think we get so caught up in the manufactured definition on love that we fail to realize you can’t put a definition on the way someone feels. What may be love for one couple might be courting for the other. Learning what love truly is requires that you learn yourself first. Take some time to realize who you are, and what you can offer. You can’t truly love others until you understand and love yourself. So many women seek “love” but don’t really love themselves. 
I’ve fell victim to this train of thought. Luckily I have wise women around me that pulled my card. We put to much emphasis on being lonely and needing a partner, however, once you learn to love yourself, you come to the realization, having a partner is like having an accessory. You want it but you don’t need it.
Focus On Bettering You!! The other stuff will fall into place!

I’m sure he’s excited. I just got my schedule for the foxxhole, I’ll be live again on december 26th, a day before my birthday. What a great christmas/birthday gift.
Things are looking up for 2010, and although life throws curb balls every day and you never know what to expect, i feel confident about the new year and what it has instore for me. God willing i’ll be moved in to my new apartment no later than february 3rd. Start my new job next Wednesday, The radio career is going swell, I have great people who believe in me, holding me down and teaching me the ropes. these nfinal weeks of 2009 I’m using to set the tone for 2010, but im also using them to reflect on the things that have happened this year, goo d and bad. the people that were in my life for a season or a reason. I’m so grateful to have the support system that I have.
I’m gracious to have the strong group of people that keep me motivated in my circle. I went through so many herdles this year, I honestly wanted to give up, the entire time lucky lefty stood by myside and made sure i kept grinding out, even when he was facing family issues and health issues of his own he always made sure his ear was at my disposal and that means so much to me, I’m blessed to have those type of people around me. I’ve made a few true friends in this business. A FEW IS DEF BETTER THAN NONE.
I’m learning that attitude is everything and i can’t carry the weight of the world on my shoulder, it fucks up my attitude you know?
i have to be strong for the people who look up to me, and also for the people who doubt me, those are the mofo’s that keep me grinding even when I’m tired. Tonight I’m tired, BUT I’m fighting… I have serious work to do and i’m not going to sleep till it gets done…
